McPherson Outdoors! offers guided moose hunts in Zones 2,3,6,8,and 9. We have lodging available next to Moosehead Lake and on the shores of Square Lake, possibly the best moose hunting location in the State of Maine. Zone 9, on the right hand side of Moosehead Lake, is home to some of the biggest moose harvested in Maine each year. While the accommodations may be a bit rustic, the hunting is absolutely first rate!. We also offer instructional deer, moose and grouse hunting for beginners to the sport. We welcome parents and guardians alone or with their youth hunters who would like to learn the sport of hunting in a safe and controlled environment. We instruct in practical firearm usage, safe hunting practices, landowner relations, tree stands, spotting, shooting, tracking, calling, scent control and many more aspects of hunting for beginners to send you on your way to a safe, legal, enjoyable and hopefully successful hunting experience in the woods and fields of the great State of Maine. We also offer guided open water and ice fishing trips on Moosehead Lake and Square Lake. Come troll for brook trout, salmon and togue on Maine's two greatest and most beautiful lakes!
