I'm a lifelong Mainer, and guiding runs in my family. Long before Bold Coast Guide Co. became a business, time outdoors was simply part of life — paying attention to weather, water, terrain, timing, and the way a place changes from one season to the next. Before starting Bold Coast Guide Co., I spent years working in risk management and more than 25 years as a professional ski patroller. Those careers taught me to stay calm, read conditions carefully, make sound decisions, and adjust when things change. That mindset carries directly into how I guide today. Bold Coast Guide Co. came from wanting to offer something more thoughtful than a generic outing. Not a rushed day. Not a checklist. Not a one-size-fits-all trip. What I wanted to build was something more personal — a day shaped around the client, the conditions, and the part of Maine that makes the most sense for the experience they're after. My passion is sharing Maine's rugged beauty with my clients, whether that's hiking the coast, paddling quiet water, or fishing one of the places that has made this region so meaningful to me over the years.
